Fredrik Häthén was born in Malmö, Sweden, on the 13th of March 1984 and was introduced to musical instruments at the mere age of three, when he received his first plastic xylophone. Having hammered the poor instrument to death it was time to move up a bit in technology level, and Fredrik was gifted with an old Casio keyboard and a tape recorder. Using these two, Fredrik began to record long tapes where he played and sang improvised music.

As he grew older, Fredrik's needs to express himself grew stronger. He began playing the cello and the saxophone, and when his father got a job that entailed teaching the basics of computers to adults Fredrik tagged along to the classroom, only to discover that not only was the server computer equipped with a sound card - it also came with a basic MIDI sequencer. Thus, at the age of 14, Fredrik began composing music in earnest. He quickly grew more and more confident, and joined many fan-based projects.

At the age of 22, Fredrik applied to the music class in Glimåkra Folkhöskola to learn more about what he had until then simply done by ear and self-learning, and currently he still attends the school. When he came there, Fredrik's creative juices started flowing uncontrollably, and he has since then been involved in several projects that have been demanding but ultimately rewarding.

Now soon turning 24, Fredrik dreams of studying Sound Production at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. His film work is currently not as extensive as his game work, but he plans to try his hand at composing for more films as well.

Combining talent, wit, curiosity, an indomitable spirit and a powerful thirst for knowledge, Fredrik Häthén is someone who has great potential.
